Common Misoperation Methods of Diesel Generator Sets

(1) The machine runs under load without warming up after cold start-up
When starting a diesel engine cooler, due to the high viscosity and poor fluidity of the oil, the oil supply of the oil pump is insufficient, and the lubrication of the friction surface of the machine is poor due to the lack of oil, resulting in rapid wear and tear, and even the failure of cylinder pulling and tile burning. Therefore, the diesel engine should idle and heat up after cooling start, and wait for the oil temperature to reach 40 C before running with load; the machine should start with a low speed gear, and run a mileage in sequence in each gear, until the oil temperature is normal and the fuel supply is sufficient, it can be turned into normal driving.
(2) Diesel engine running when oil is insufficient
At this time, due to insufficient oil supply, the surface oil supply of friction pairs will be insufficient, resulting in abnormal wear or burns. To this end, before starting the machine and during the operation of the diesel engine, it is necessary to ensure adequate oil to prevent cylinder pulling and tile burning due to oil shortage.
(3) Emergency shutdown with load or immediate shutdown after sudden unloading
After quenching of diesel engine, the circulation of cooling water stops, the heat dissipation ability decreases sharply, and the heated parts lose cooling, which easily causes the overheating of cylinder head, cylinder liner, cylinder block and other parts, and causes cracks, or causes the excessive expansion of piston to stuck in the cylinder liner. On the other hand, when the diesel engine shuts down without idling cooling, it will cause insufficient oil on the friction surface. When the diesel engine starts up again, it will worsen because of poor lubrication. Therefore, the diesel engine should be unloaded before quenching, and gradually reduce the speed, no-load operation for a few minutes.
(4) Burst the throttle after the cold start of the diesel engine
If the throttle is slammed, the speed of the diesel engine will rise sharply, which will cause some friction surfaces on the engine to wear severely because of dry friction. In addition, the acceptance force of piston, connecting rod and crankshaft changes greatly when the accelerator is bombarded, which causes severe impact and easily damages the parts.
