Use and Maintenance of Weifang Diesel Engine Supercharger

The turbocharger used in Weifang series turbocharger diesel engines is a constant pressure single inlet exhaust gas turbocharger. The oil of the turbocharger is drawn from the main oil passage of the engine. After lubricating and cooling the turbocharger, the oil is returned directly to the lower part of the crankcase.
1. Ensuring good lubrication is very important for the normal operation of turbocharger. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly clean or change the oil filter element. The turbocharger will be damaged if the oil is unclean or lubricated poorly.
2. The turbocharger works at extremely high speed. Therefore, proper idling (about 5 minutes, short shutdown can be appropriately shortened) should be applied to load the diesel engine after start-up. When the diesel engine runs at high speed and heavy load, it must not stop immediately. The load and speed should be gradually reduced and idled for 3-5 minutes, otherwise the turbocharger bearing will be damaged and invalid.
3. Check regularly the tightness and sealing of air filters to superchargers, intake pipes from superchargers to engines, etc. Otherwise, it will cause screaming.
4. Check the air filter according to the instructions of the diesel engine and clean or adjust the filter element regularly.
5. Remove the compressor shell and turbine shell regularly to clean the two impellers and the inner passages of the two shells. After the turbocharger is disassembled, clean oil should be injected into the oil inlet when assembling.
